Robert Greens
Short play

On an overcast day, one jealous friend and her bored cousin attempt to prove Warren's a cheating scumbag. Writer: Robert Greens Director: Lysanne van Overbeek Starring: Christi Van Clarke, Jamie Coleman, Hannah Lucas. Performed at The Vaults Theatre, Waterloo, London from 14 to 18 March 2017.
After the success of Aroma, The Pensive Federation asked me to write for Significant Other: Conditions. A similar process to The Collective Project: there is a stimulus - the title (each one a weather condition) and some props. The key was the relationships - and basing a story around the 'magic in the mundane'. My process continued to strengthen. I focussed on the three actors, and found out as much as I could. The story derived from the actors strengths, weaknesses and desires. Again the story is a personal one, but personal also to the actors. The play had a strong tone of drama and naturalistic comedy, with a cracking ending. 'Overcast by Rob Greens had me in a combination of laughter and deep thought.’ -- '...the most important message of this play is the pain inflicted via social media, as well as the complexities it brings to modern day romance.' -- Savage
